Get Ready for Paddle Tennis Season with React at Winnetka Park

No matter if you call it “Paddle Tennis”, “Platform Tennis”, “King Kong Ping-Pong”, or simply “Paddle”, this sport is a blast to play in every season.
Paddle tennis is like tennis with a bit of racquetball and ping-pong mixed in. The biggest difference? While most tennis courts hibernate when the weather grows cold, winter is when platform tennis heats up in Chicago! The game is fast paced and fun – played on a special raised, heated aluminum court a fraction of the size of a traditional tennis court.

It’s also a great workout – but as with any sport, you need to prep your body before you get in the game. Not to worry. React Physical Therapy is here to help.
That’s why we’re teaming up with the Winnetka Park District to host a free seminar for all paddle tennis players called “Mobility and Stability for the Competitive Paddle Player”. It will be led by React Physical Therapy’s Kaitlin Iversen, DPT and strength coach Jackson Davenport. The program takes an educational, hands-on approach to mobility and stability so you can have fun and avoid injuries while playing paddle. We’ll also be offering free injury screenings at the event.
